The Wedgwood Museum - E9000 Electronic Mobile Shelving
|
With storage of the historic Wedgwood collection finally in the brand new building this culminates in the hard work and planning over several years and realises the wishes and dreams of the Museums staff in housing this wonderfull array of items in an environment befitting it.
The Museum, an independent Charitable Trust, maintains Britain's designated collection of Wedgwood artifacts and fine art. The new Museum includes many of the Trust's 8,000 strong historic ceramics collection, more than 75,000 manuscripts and items of correspondence, plus a fine art collection including works by Stubbs and Reynolds, dating from the 18th Century to present day.
Comprising a wide range of Archive Boxes, Solander Boxes, Manuscipts, Ledgers and Pattern Books - all of which are stored in three new Archive Rooms. The users called in a number of potential suppliers and were immediately impressed with the depth that Qubiqa went to at the initial meeting to catalogue and measure the various items. This enabled a truly bespoke solution with over 21 different bay elevations to cater for all the collections. Taking up several references, the users were convinced that Qubiqa not only provided a good design, but that the system itself was the most highly respected in the industry bar none. An order was place for the E9000 Electronic mobile shelving due to the smooth travel and the fact that it aided storing the collections in the optimum condition with its unique Air Circulation Carriage Parking whereby units seperate out evenly after a pre set time of inactivity to facilitate the easy passage of air between the units and collections.
Qubiqa have also fitted out the new library with 366 linear metres of the static SHADE S9000 system which the client felt would complement the surroundings with its stunning 'Jacob Jensen' designed Decorative End Panels.

(the Nordplan brand) – one
of three business units
within Qubiqa A/S will leave
the group.
Qubiqa Storage Solutions
will merge with Bruynzeel of
Constructor Group. Signing

“Closing” of the merger
agreement is expected to
take place on 16th January
2013.
The other two business units within Qubiqa A/S, Qubiqa Automation in Esbjerg and Qubiqa Logistics in Arden are not affected by the merger.
Qubiqa Automation and Qubiqa Logistics are in the same type of industry and this will streamline the
overall business concept within Qubiqa A/S and allow
a more goal-oriented focus
and specialisation of the industrial part.
“We believe to have found the ideal partner for Qubiqa Storage Solutions within the Bruynzeel Division of the Constructor Group, which is already a strong player in
the storage solutions
industry. When the merger is finalized, only Qubiqa
Storage Solutions will change the name to Bruynzeel Storage Systems. The departure of Qubiqa Storage Solutions will allow Qubiqa to focus more on the core business of transportation, packaging, warehousing and logistics”
